Due North

'

.

rooks
in the icy cold
look as if they are viewing
the spectacle

Northern lights slanting
through the sycamore tree
rooks cawing in surprise

gaseous palette
elevating sky to canvas
ephemeral art

greatest show on earth
all who see it open-mouthed
once in a lifetime

I would say that it is magnificent to watch.. I have not seen it the perfect way ,, but I have seen it up in the mountains.

I found it rather scary, to tell you the truth.
It seemed to be coming for us in a threatening way. Like the Lapps, I didn't dare wave a white hankie.

Great image and writing. A bit eerie but I like it.

What a fantastic series of images --- I've never seen the Northern Lights quite like this. Fantastic!

You've explored those lights from many angles, and I'm sure there are other images begging to be discovered as well.
